OMG! I live in Wv and they just took a 3 year old girl from two women who had her from the time she was two days old. I’m straight but if two people love a child, why the hell would it matter wether they are gay or not?????? I totally agree with you.

The world-wide average for weaning from the breast is 4.5 years of age. The WHO and AAP recommend that children be breastfed for at least 2 years to receive best long and short term health benefits from breastfeeding. Even after 2 years a child who is breastfed will continue to receive immunities and other health benefits from the mother. Talking and walking has little to do with weaning as most kids can walk and talk at 1 year of age.

In American culture it is still odd to see a woman breastfeeding an infant let alone a 4 year-old so I can understand why this makes many people uncomfortable to see an older child. However, other cultures routinely breastfeed up to 4 years of age and the overall health of people and children of these cultures is dramatically better. Interestingly, humans don’t lose their milk-teeth until 8 years of age.
